SUNY Sullivan's 18th Annual Women's Conference is set to take place on Saturday, April 12, 2014. This year's theme will be "Wisdom... Wit... Women" and attendees will enjoy a keynote address by popular comedienne Jane Condon.
Along with Ms. Condon's keynote address, there will be a full day's schedule of fun, engaging, and informative workshops. In the past these workshops have ranged from jewelry making to de-cluttering; crafting to cooking; meditation to working out; even vegan baking to mixing cocktails, and more!

There is truly something for everyone at the annual Women's Conference. Both morning and afternoon sessions are currently in the planning stages and will be announced once the schedule is completed. The day will also include a continental breakfast during morning check-in, a full sit-down luncheon, and a raffle to round out the day. Pre-registration for this event is required, and a subsequent announcement will be made as registration opens.
Ms. Condon was named one of Backstage Magazine's "10 Comedy Best Bets" in 2001, and has since appeared on such hit television shows as "The View" (ABC), "Girls' Night Out" (Lifetime), the series finale of "24" (Fox), and "Last Comic Standing" (NBC), on which she was named the New York Audience Favorite. In 2004, she won the Ladies of Laughter contest. An alumnus of Wellesley College, Ms. Condon was invited to give the college's commencement address in 2011. In 2012, she also delivered the commencement address at the University of New Haven. Ms. Condon credits also include the "Today Show," as well as an episode of "NickMom Night Out."
The New York Times has reviewed Ms. Condon's performances saying, "Condon had the audience cackling, guffawing and in hysterics as she sliced through marriage, divorce, husbands, kids, politics and other topics." The Associated Press calls her an "upper-crust Roseanne," while the New York Daily News evokes Mark Twain in lauding her routine as "A Connecticut Yankee courts the baby boomers."
The Women's Conference and SUNY Sullivan are proud to welcome Ms. Condon – a performer whose insights are as sharp as the wit with which they are delivered, and whose material, as appreciatively noted by the Wall Street Journal, "never needs laundering." Her address on April 12th is sure to delight.
Registration will be $35 per person, which covers the entire day, including both workshop sessions and meals. Check-in on April 12 will be at 8:30 am. The schedule of events will wrap up at 4:00 pm.
