Coordinator of Web Development


Full-Time Position

RESPONSIBILITIESPOSTED: August 14, 2014

The Coordinator of Web Development is responsible for the design and maintenance of the college's web presence. This position supports the college's overall strategic recruitment and retention goals and branding efforts. This position has an emphasis on the design and graphics, development, organization, navigation, maintenance and tracking of the college's website as an effective integrated marketing communications and information tool.

  • Ensures the College's website provides accurate and timely information, is easy to navigate, has a professional look and feel, and meets web accessibility guidelines.
  • Writes and edits website content. Plans and executes visual and structural site redesigns, enhancements and updates.
  • Ensures that all areas of the website support the College's brand and identity standards.
  • In conjunction with the Vice President of Advancement, Partnerships and Community Learning (or his/her designee), maintains consistency with other marketing and public relations efforts including advertising, publications, collateral, etc.
  • Collaborates with various departments and divisions within the College to assist in the development of their presence on the website, ensuring a uniform image. Coordinates access privileges for departmental staff.
  • In conjunction with the Office of Institutional Technology, implements, communicates and oversees enforcement of campus web guidelines, policies and procedures.
  • Serves as the single point of contact at the College on all web requests.
  • Increases visibility of the college's web content through external links, search engines and other placements as appropriate.
  • Designs and updates web banners that support campus events and announcements.
  • Maintains and updates weather-related and other time-sensitive notifications to the campus community. Updates, especially weather-related, may have to be done off-site during off-hours.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in website design or computer technology.
  • Demonstrated experience in website design, programming and management, e.g., web design, graphic arts software, database creation and management, HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL.
  • Excellent organization, design, communication and interpersonal skills required. Attention to detail and accuracy.

College Nurse


Full-Time Position

RESPONSIBILITIESPOSTED: August 11, 2014

SUNY Sullivan is seeking a full-time College Nurse. The College Nurse reports to the Dean of Student Development Services. S/he provides medical services to the campus, particularly students. The College Nurse also provides medical services in conformance with medical directives by the College Doctor in matters pertaining to specific treatment of medical problems of students.

Medical Duties:

  • Serves as screening and referral center for the College Physician(s) and assists with physicals and screening examinations;
  • Coordinates a schedule for the college physician and nurse practitioners
  • Evaluates and treats students under medical supervision or standing orders in physician's absence
  • Provide sick call and referrals in accordance with procedures for students
  • Maintains medical supplies and medications and dispenses as appropriate
  • Maintains a first aid response service in the event of campus medical emergencies

Administrative Duties:

  • Actively seek and evaluate immunization records to assure compliance with state law and health regulations.
  • Treat and allow extended access to students who participate in the college insurance program
  • File medical reports from outside agencies as provided.
  • Regarding release of information, will do so in compliance with standing medical orders and the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act.

Outreach Duties:

  • Serves as a resource to faculty and students on healthcare and wellness matters, to include distribution of health information and presentations on medical, wellness and nursing issues
  • Create and implement a robust educational programming for students on health related topics to improve wellness
  • Maintains liaison with community agencies for referral, outreach and educational services or programs
  • Maintains liaison with other Health services office in community colleges and participates, as budget allows, in workshops and area meetings

QUALIFICATIONS

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Possession of a current, valid NYS Professional Nurse license.
  • Associate's degree required; BSN preferred.
  • Minimum of one year nursing experience; experience in a college or school setting is preferred.
  • Ability to make medical judgments in accordance with established procedures and the ability to prioritize and evaluate both medical treatment and administrative tasks while dealing with inquiries.

Buildings and Grounds Maintenance Worker IA


Full-Time Position

The College is seeking a full-time Maintenance Worker to perform a variety of semi-skilled tasks involved in the maintenance and repair of the College's facilities. This is a Civil Service, non-competitive, Labor Class position; with a starting salary of $39,539.


QUALIFICATIONS

A basic knowledge of modern ground maintenance and repair practices, standard safety precautions and a basic knowledge in the use of standard mechanical tools and equipment is preferred. Possession of a valid New York State Driver's License appropriate to the vehicles operated is required.

Before being appointed to this position at SCCC, candidates must have completed coursework and be certified in two (2) of the following needed trades:

Full-Time Position

The Coordinator of Student Activities works with departments, students and staff to develop services, clubs, entertainment and programs that enhance student life for individuals or campus groups. This position requires evening and weekend hours to plan and conduct programs, services and events. This position reports to the Director of Student Activities.

  • Monitor use of the Student Union and the Student Leadership Center assuring students a place to informally socialize, relax and develop their leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Supervise undergraduate student activities and other staff assigned to the Student Union in the conduct of organized programs.
  • Work with and empower student and staff committees as appropriate, to plan and present major entertainment and developmental programs for students.
  • Lead the development of leadership and mediation skills in students by conducting weekend and evening programs and workshops and selecting students to staff a student mediation program.
  • Recruit and support faculty and staff who serve as club advisors and students who accept leadership responsibilities.
  • Submit information for weekly publication of the campus newsletter, The Projector.

QUALIFICATIONS

The Executive Director of the SUNY Sullivan Foundation performs complex, confidential fundraising, uses a database approach to building and managing donor lists, and executes Foundation fundraising campaigns. Independent judgment, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a high degree of confidentiality are required for this position. The position reports to the Foundation Board Chair and the SUNY Sullivan Vice President for Advancement, Partnerships, and Community Learning.   • Plans and executes the major fund development for the SUNY Sullivan Foundation.

  • Implements the SUNY Sullivan Foundation scholarship program.

The Director of Library Services is responsible for the operation and facilities of the Library and for certain instructional services as assigned.
