The Department of Learning and Student Development Services at SUNY Sullivan provides students with a variety of services to support them throughout their academic career.

• Academic Advisement – All new students are advised and registered by staff advisors in the Learning Center.  Students are then assigned to faculty advisors per the major they declare.  See our Academic Advisement page for more info.
• Placement Testing – Admissions determines if students are required to take a placement test before they can be advised/registered. See our Placement Testing page for more info.
• Tutoring-A free service for all current students. Professional and peer tutors are available in a variety of subjects. See our Tutoring page for more info.
• Students with Disabilities - Accommodations are reviewed on an individual basis. Please send documentation to the address listed below. See our Students w/ Dis. page for more info.
• Operation Rebound- Required of students who earn less than a 1.7 their first semester as a full time student.
• Counseling- Personalcounseling is available by appointment, walk-ins are handled on a case by case basis. See our Counseling page for more information.
• First Year Experience (FYE) & Orientation - Freshmen Seminar is required of all first time full time students.  One and three credit classes are determined during advisement/ registration.
• Health and Wellness Workshops: Subjects include Healthy Relationships, Building Communication Skills, Sleep Deprivation, Drug & Alcohol Abuse, Anger Management, Depression Screening and Suicide Information, Stress Management, etc.
• ELearning Series/Workshops: Disability Services on Campus, Time Management, Learning Styles, Social Skills and Academic Etiquette, Note Taking and Reading a Text, Test Taking Tips, Aromatherapy for Beginners
• National Voter Registration Site
• Veterans Affairs
• Withdrawal from College
• Change of Major/Advisor
• Additional Degree Approval
