Nursing Databases

Health Reference Center Academic (Gale/Cengage Learning). A multi-source database that provides access to the full text of nursing and allied health journals, plus a wide variety of personal health information sources. Information for consumers primarily. Provided by NOVEL.

Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition (EBSCO). Database providing access to nearly 550 scholarly full-text journals and 833 abstracted and indexed journals covering many medical disciplines with an emphasis on nursing.

CINAHL Plus with Full Text (EBSCO). Full text for more than 560 journals in all areas of nursing and allied health literature.  Coverage goes back to 1937 for some articles.

Nursing and Allied Health Collection (Gale/Cengage Learning). All aspects of the nursing profession -- from direct patient care to healthcare administration -- are covered in this collection. Including nearly 400 titles, this collection's current and authoritative content will be of use to both professionals already working in the field as well as nursing students. Provided by NOVEL.

Testing & Education Reference Center (Gale/Cengage Learning). This wide-ranging education and career resource includes test prep guides and practice tests for the NCLEX-PN and NCLEX-RN examinations.  From the "Career Tools" tab, select "Medical/Nursing" to find links to the NCLEX practice exams.
