LOCH SHELDRAKE, NY (July 30, 2010) – SUNY Sullivan (Sullivan County Community College) will host a dinner and education benefits information session for veterans, current service members and their dependents, Wednesday, August 4 at 6:30 p.m. in the Grossinger Dining Room in Statler Hall.
SUNY Sullivan admissions representatives and the college’s Veteran Coordinator will explain how participants can take full advantage of the educational opportunities afforded to them and their dependents through the Montgomery and Post 911 GI Bills (www.gibills.va.gov).
“The sacrifices made by our men and women in uniform can best be recognized and gratefully acknowledged by offering them and their dependents educational opportunities,” said Sari Rosenheck, Director of Admissions. “Our information session is designed to provide attendees with the information they need to reap the benefits from these bills. We’ll also explain how SUNY Sullivan is the right place for them to earn an associate’s degree or even for them to take individual courses to learn the skills they need to enter the workforce or make a career change.”
To make a reservation for what could prove to be a life-changing information session, call the Admissions office at 845-434-5750, ext. 4287.
