SUNY Sullivan Generals are in NJCAA Championship

 

Loch Sheldrake (March 3) It’s one thing to host a national basketball championship tournament, but it’s another thing to not only be in it, but to be ranked as a championship contender. The SUNY Sullivan Generals (28-4), the NJCAA Division III Region 15 champs, will take on last year’s tournament winner, the Joliet Wolves on Thursday, March 10 at 8 p.m. in the Gerry Fieldhouse.

The NJCAA Division III Championship gets underway with a 1 p.m. game, Thursday, March 10 and the madness will continue until the final buzzer sounds at the ultimate championship game, Saturday, March 12 at 8 pm.

“Since we’re in the championship to win it,” said Kevin DeVantier, the Generals head coach, “we have our eyes on Saturday’s big game, but of course we’re focused on winning one game at a time.”

Eight of the best NJCAA Division teams from around the country will convene on SUNY Sullivan, bringing with them some top-notch basketball. With a 12-game schedule over a three-day period, there are bound to be some exciting moments on the court.

All-Tournament passes ($25 Adults/$15 students) and two-game session tickets ($9 adults/$6) are available.

Tickets can be purchased on game day in the Paul Gerry Fieldhouse. All-Tournament passes can be purchased in advance by calling Georgia Lyons at 845.434.5750, ext. 4294.
