The Smart Place to be in April is SUNY Sullivan Where Learning is in Bloom

Loch Sheldrake (March 31,2011) – With no disrespect to poet T. S. Eliot, April is the kindest month at SUNY Sullivan because we’re offering two great single-session courses in partnership with the Hudson Valley Educational Consortium (HVEC). Both courses will be held at SUNY Sullivan in room B105.

Here’s what we have to offer:

Introduction to Green Topics: How to Find, Market and Sell Green Products: Wednesday, April 6 from 6 to 8:00 p.m. The fee for this single session course is $65.

This course provides participants with an overview of how to research, purchase, market and sell green products. Any organization - or individual -- that wants to "go green" must pay attention to the products and services that it uses and/or sells on a daily basis. Participants in this program will learn how to: assess the products and services they use and/or sell; find and evaluate information about green products and services; identify regulations on green purchasing; calculate the costs and benefits of purchasing choices; and design green purchasing and sales programs and processes.

Introduction to Green Topics: Waste and Recycling Contracting: Wednesday, April 13, 2011 from 6 to 8:00 p.m. The fee for this single session course is $65.

This course provides participants with an overview of the cost-effective management of your company's solid waste and recycling. Participants in this program will learn how to: assess your company's solid waste stream; identify opportunities to reduce and recycle wastes; and evaluate your firm's waste management and recycling contract(s) to identify opportunities for cost saving. This course will provide a "what you need to know" to efficiently handle your waste and recycling.
