Friday Night Flavor Courses Return to SUNY Sullivan in April

 

Crowd & palette pleasing culinary courses come back to campus.

LOCH SHELDRAKE, N.Y. (April 11, 2011) – SUNY Sullivan’s popular series of culinary courses returns on April 29 with PIZZA NIGHT! The series will continue into the spring with themed classes held on Friday nights from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at SUNY Sullivan – 112 College Road in Loch Sheldrake. Two courses are on the calendar now, with more to be announced in the coming weeks.

Up first, enjoy an evening of delicious fun at PIZZA NIGHT on April 29. Whether you crave that perfect thin and crispy crust oozing with fragrant tomato sauce and dripping with melted mozzarella, or a non-traditional pie with exotic toppings, this is the class for you! Learn to create your own one-of-a-kind masterpiece without having to rely on takeout. Imagine the pizza pie perfection served piping hot and tasty from your home oven. A registration fee of $50.00 is due at sign-up.

The next Friday Night Flavor course will be ELEGANT APPETIZERS, scheduled for May 13. With spring weather finally making its appearance, we know even warmer weather is right around the corner. And with it, outdoor entertaining! Make your summer shindigs smashing successes when you serve your guests the delicious nibbles you’ll learn to make in this course. A registration fee of $50.00 is due at sign-up.

All Friday Night Flavor courses are held in Statler Hall, Room H028. Parking is in Lot #2 (in front of the Paul Gerry Fieldhouse). Your registration fee includes all ingredients. Participants will eat what they cook! And yes, clean up is part of the instruction. Students should arrive prepared with an apron, a paring knife and an 8-inch chef’s knife. In order for all students to fully participate, and with kitchen safety in mind, classes are limited to 16 participants.
