SUNY Sullivan Generals to Host Basketball Coaching Clinic in October

 

Loch Sheldrake, NY (September 8, 2011) – The SUNY Sullivan Generals will host a Basketball Coaching Clinic on October 8, 2011 on the campus of SUNY Sullivan, inside the Paul Gerry Fieldhouse. Registration will begin at 8:30 am on the day of the event.

This year's speakers include key coaching staff members from top-rated schools including the University of Pittsburgh, Marist College, Iona, Adelphi and more. The day's schedule will include the following presentations:

- Jamie Seward, Women's Head Coach at SUNY New Paltz, will discuss "Zone Offense"

- Chuck Martin, Men's Head Coach at Marist College covers the "Dribble Drive."

- University of Pittsburgh Assistant Men's Coach, Bill Barton, to address a "Potpourri of Topics."

- Rob Barrese, Strength & Conditioning Coach with SUNY Sullivan will discuss "Strength Questions & Ideas."

- Erik Smiles, SUNY Farmingdale's Men's Head Coach talks about "Quick Hitters."

- Bob McKenney, Head Boys Varsity Coach from Jamesville-DeWitt High School will present "Individual Workout Ideas."

- Iona College Head Men's Basketball Coach, Tim Cleuss, talks about "Transition Offense."

- Dom Savino, Head Men's Basketball Coach at Adelphi College, discusses the "Adelphi Defensive Philosophy."

Each segment will be followed by 10 minutes of question & answer.

The cost to register for the event is $55.00 if payment is received prior to October 1, and $65.00 if received after October 1. You may register for this event up to the day of. To register your entire staff, the cost is $100.00 (men's and women's staff must be registered separately).
