
Loch Sheldrake (Nov. 11, 2011) In recognition of their academic achievement and leadership abilities 21 SUNY Sullivan students were inducted into Phi Theta Kappa at a special ceremony at the college on Thursday, November 10.
Students who are inducted into Phi Theta Kappa must have completed a minimum of 12 credits and have a 3.5 career GPA.
Phi Theta Kappa, a national honor society has a two-fold mission: one: to recognize and encourage the academic achievement of two-year college students and two, to provide opportunities for individual growth and development through participation in honors, leadership, service and fellowship programming.
"The college is extremely proud of this year's inductees," said Frank Sinigaglia, Academic and Personal Success Advocate/Phi Theta Kappa Faculty Advisor. "They join a long list of former inductees who have gone on to complete their undergraduate degrees at public and private four-year colleges or who have taken their associate's degrees from SUNY Sullivan and entered the workforce."
