SUNY SULLIVAN BASEBALL PLAYER HONORED WITH

CHANCELLOR’S AWARD

Loch Sheldrake, NY (April 11, 2012) – This week, as SUNY Chancellor Nancy L. Zimpher announces the recipients of the 2012 Chancellor’s Awards for Scholar Athletes, SUNY Sullivan’s own Stephen Sunday will be among the honorees. A valuable member of the Sullivan Generals baseball team, Stephen has also been an all-star in the classroom.

Stephen Sunday will graduate from SUNY Sullivan this spring with his degree in Physical Education. Currently, Stephen is carrying a 4.0 GPA.

On the field, Stephen’s outstanding play has earned him All-District, All-Region and All-Conference First Team selections as a catcher. Stephen was a team leader and key contributor on last year’s Region XV Championship team, and continues to play a key role on this year’s Generals squad.

To commemorate this honor, Stephen will receive an official letter from the Chancellor and a commemorative plaque.
