SUNY SULLIVAN TO HOST BASEBALL CAMP BY PRO PROSPECTS TRAINING CENTER IN AUGUST

 

SUNY Sullivan, home of the multiple championship Sullivan Generals athletics program,  is once again teaming up with Pro Prospects Training Center of Monticello, NY for the center's Elite Prospects Camp. The event will be held during the first week of August on the campus of SUNY Sullivan, and will be staffed by both Pro Prospects and SUNY Sullivan coaching personnel. The camp offers two registration rates for daily attendees or overnight campers.

The Elite Prospects Camp provides advanced training for ballplayers who are serious about their futures in baseball. The camp provides small group training in foundational and advanced aspects of the game. Through innovative drills, participants will develop improved mechanics, and enhance their mental, visual and situational game. Afternoon games offer the opportunity to apply what's been learned, and to review progress – including video evaluations of mechanics, and evening "wrap sessions."

The Elite Prospects Camp creates a quality training atmosphere with a low player-to-Instructor ratio, with coaches from SUNY Sullivan as well as Pro Prospects instructors. There will be ballgames every afternoon on the newly renovated diamond at SUNY Sullivan, as well as an evening game against local travel teams.

Morning instruction will be followed by afternoon activities, including Wiffle Ball and indoor sports activities in the college's fieldhouse, as well as contests, scrimmages and daily use of the campus pool (with lifeguard on duty). All campers will receive a tee shirt, and camp awards will be given.

The camp will be divided into two age groups: Ages 9 years to 12 years, and 13 years to 15 years. Campers may choose to commute to the camp daily, or sleepover in the college's Lazarus I. Levine Residence Hall. Sleepover campers will have dinners provided as part of their package. Breakfast and lunch may be purchased at the campus dining hall.

Rates & Scheduling are as follows:

Sleepover Campers: August 5 through August 9
• Check In - 6:00 pm (8/5/12)
• Check Out - 4:00 pm (8/9/12)
• Fee - $525.00

Commuter Campers: August 6 through August 9
• Daily Drop Off - 9:00 am
• Daily Pick Up - 4:00 pm
• Fee - $225
